The following suspects are wanted by the Windsor Police Service on outstanding warrants.

Alwassi Al Latif
AGE: 28
CASE #: 24-135413
DESCRIPTION: Middle Eastern male, dark complexion, medium build, 5’8” tall, approximately 161 lbs., with black hair and brown eyes.
CHARGES:
- Forcible confinement
- Assault
- Assault with a weapon
- Assault causing bodily harm
- Extortion (x 2)
- Utter death threats (x 5)
- Uttering threats to property
BACKGROUND: In July 2024, Alwassi Al Latif allegedly forced a male victim into a vehicle and transported him to another location, where the person was assaulted and threatened. It is further alleged that the victim’s money and jewelry were taken before he was released. During the incident, threats were reportedly made toward the victim, his family, and his property, including demands for additional payment.
At the time of these alleged offences, Al Latif was serving a conditional sentence requiring him to remain in Ontario and comply with electronic monitoring. In October 2024, he was granted permission to travel outside the province without the monitoring device. His current whereabouts are unknown.

Shawn Damsgard
AGE: 46
CASE #: 22-109845
DESCRIPTION: White male, light complexion, medium build, 5’8” tall, approximately 168 lbs., and bald with hazel eyes. He has several tattoos on his neck, right and left forearm, left wrist, left and right hand, and abdomen.
CHARGES:
- Trafficking a controlled substance (x 3)
- Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking (x 8)
- Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
- Unlicensed person in possession of a prohibited weapon
- Failure to attend court
BACKGROUND: In November 2022, members of the Windsor Police Drug and Gun Enforcement Unit (DIGS) conducted an investigation into alleged drug trafficking within the city. As a result, Shawn Damsgard was arrested and charged with multiple drug-related offences. He has since failed to attend court in connection with these charges, and his current whereabouts are unknown.

Hemam Falah-Abdullah
AGE: 36
CASE #: 24-84913
DESCRIPTION: Middle Eastern male, medium complexion, medium build, 5’7” tall, approximately 161 lbs., with black hair and brown eyes.
CHARGES:
- Laundering proceeds of Canadian crime
- Fraud over $5,000
- Obtaining funds by false pretenses over $5,000
- Possession of property obtained by crime
BACKGROUND: In March 2024, Hemam Falah-Abdullah allegedly submitted a fraudulent invoice as part of a scheme that defrauded a retail car company out of more than $1,500,000. The funds were subsequently transferred to a bank account linked to Falah-Abdullah.

Brook Locey
AGE: 35
CASE #: 25-69389
DESCRIPTION: White male, light complexion, medium build, 5’8” tall, approximately 150 lbs., with blond hair and blue eyes.
CHARGES:
- Fraud over $5,000
- Uttering a forged document
- Failure to comply with probation
BACKGROUND: In October 2024, Brook Locey allegedly intercepted several cheques issued by his employer and intended for a third party, altered the cheques, and deposited them into his own account, resulting in a total loss to the company exceeding $40,000.

Ava Papadopulos
AGE: 25
CASE #: 25-300334
DESCRIPTION: White female, fair complexion, small build, approximately 5’4” tall and 110 lbs., with dyed hair and brown eyes.
CHARGES:
- Fraud over $5,000
- Fraud under $5,000 (x 2)
- Obtaining credit by false pretence or fraud
- Personation with intent to gain advantage
- Forgery of a credit card
- Unauthorized use of a credit card
- Using a stolen credit card
- Obtaining or possessing another person’s identity information for a fraudulent purpose
- Failure to attend court
BACKGROUND: Between October and November 2025, Ava Papadopulos allegedly used a stolen credit card to purchase more than $11,000 in gift cards at two retail locations in Windsor.
As a result of the investigation, Papadopulos is wanted for a total of nine fraud-related offences. She is also wanted on a bench warrant for failing to attend court in relation to previously laid fraud and credit card-related charges.

Preetkumar Shah
AGE: 28

DESCRIPTION: East Indian male, medium complexion, medium build, 5’6” tall, approximately 198 lbs., with black hair and brown eyes.
CHARGES:
- Sexual assault
- Sexual interference with a person under 16 years of age
- Failure to attend court
BACKGROUND: In April 2024, Preetkumar Shah is alleged to have taken a female victim to his residence where she was sexually assaulted. He was subsequently arrested and charged, and has since failed to attend court.

William Szabo-Verzoc
AGE: 41
CASE #: 26-478
DESCRIPTION: White male, light complexion, heavy build, 6’0” tall, approximately 359 lbs., with brown hair, facial hair, and hazel eyes.
CHARGES:
- Impaired operation of a conveyance causing bodily harm (x 2)
- Impaired driving with a blood alcohol concentration over 80 (x 2)
- Dangerous operation of a vehicle causing bodily harm (x 2)
- Driving while under suspension
- Uttering death threats
- Failure to attend court
- Surety removal
BACKGROUND: In May 2025, William Szabo-Verzoc is alleged to have threatened employees at a bar in the 7800 block of Wyandotte Street East before fleeing the area. It is further alleged that while travelling southbound on Lauzon Parkway, he failed to stop at the intersection of Tecumseh Road East and collided with another vehicle. The driver and passenger of the other vehicle sustained serious injuries as a result.
Szabo-Verzoc was subsequently arrested and charged in connection with these incidents and later released on court-imposed conditions. In December 2025, he failed to attend a scheduled court appearance and is now wanted in relation to a surety removal. His current whereabouts are unknown.

Gong Dao Yao
AGE: 56

DESCRIPTION: Asian male, light complexion.
CHARGES:
- Attempted murder
- Assault with a weapon
BACKGROUND: In September 2022, following a confrontation with two coworkers, Gong Dao Yao is alleged to have stabbed one individual and assaulted a second. Despite multiple attempts to locate him, Yao has not been taken into custody. His current whereabouts are unknown.

Arrested Suspects
The following suspects were named to our Wanted in Windsor list in March 2026 and have since been taken into custody. Thank you to those who helped locate these individuals.
Garth Brown
AGE: 33
CASE #: 26-300365
DESCRIPTION: White male, medium complexion, medium build, 5’10” tall, approximately 170 lbs., with brown hair (possibly shaved) and green eyes.
CHARGES:
- Theft under $5,000 (x 13)
BACKGROUND: Between October 2025 and February 2026, Garth Brown allegedly stole approximately $4,000 worth of merchandise from multiple retail locations in Windsor. Brown was taken into custody on March 11, 2026.
Adam Da Costa Silva
AGE: 42
CASE #: 24-300622
DESCRIPTION: Black male, light complexion, slender build, 5’8” tall, approximately 159 lbs., with brown hair, brown eyes, and several neck tattoos.
CHARGES:
- Fraud over $5,000 (x 2)
- Uttering a forged document (x 3)
- Fraud under $5,000
BACKGROUND: In November 2023, Adam Da Costa Silva allegedly intercepted and altered three cheques intended for other payees on three separate occasions. Investigators determined that the funds were deposited into accounts believed to be fraudulent, with the total value of the transactions estimated at approximately $14,000. Da Costa Silva was taken into custody on March 12, 2026.
