Suspect arrested after police seize multiple firearms
Windsor Police Service has arrested one suspect after seizing multiple firearms and $36,000 in cash.
Shortly after 4 p.m. on May 8, 2025, members of the Drugs and Guns Enforcement Unit (DIGS) executed a search warrant at a residence in the 200 block of Watkins Street. During their search, officers located and seized a Remington sawed-off shotgun, a loaded Taurus handgun and a Smith & Wesson revolver. They also recovered 48 rounds of ammunition, $36,000 in Canadian currency, and nine Oxycodone tablets.
As a result, 21-year-old Lah Mu Taw has been charged with the following offences:
- Unauthorized possession of a firearm (x 3)
- Careless storage of a firearm (x 3)
- Possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm with readily accessible ammunition (x 2)
- Possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm
- Possession of a prohibited device (x 2)
