Case #: 25-4255 UPDATE: Second suspect arrested, three others sought for violent home invasion
The Windsor Police Service has arrested a second suspect and issued warrants for three others in connection with a violent home invasion earlier this year.
Shortly after 11 p.m. on January 13, 2025, five suspects forced entry into a residence in the 2500 block of Luxury Avenue. Two elderly victims were assaulted and bound. Both sustained non-life-threatening physical injuries. The suspects stole a quantity of items before fleeing the scene in a Hyundai Tucson, which was stolen from the residence.
On February 14, 2025, officers arrested and charged 25-year-old Manal Khalaf. She was charged with a total of nine offences, including break-and-enter to commit robbery, robbery with an offensive weapon, and assault causing bodily harm.
Investigators with the Windsor Police Major Crimes Unit have since identified four additional suspects.
Shortly before 10 a.m. on April 29, 2025, officers located and arrested Rana Chehada, 42, in the 2200 block of Highland Avenue. She has been charged with two counts of robbery with violence.
Arrest warrants have been issued for the remaining three suspects. Husien Khalaf, 27, Alaa Khalaf, 19, and a 17-year-old youth, who cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, are all wanted for the following charges:
•Break-and-enter to commit robbery
•Robbery with an offensive weapon
•Robbery
•Assault causing bodily harm
• Assault with a weapon
•Assault
•Forcible confinement
•Uttering death threats
•Theft of a motor vehicle
Husien Khalaf is described as a Middle Eastern man, 5’3” tall, approximately 150 lbs, with a small build, full beard, black hair, and brown eyes.
Alaa Khalaf is described as a Middle Eastern man, 5’4” tall, approximately 119 lbs, with a small build, short black goatee, black hair, and brown eyes.
