Man faces 44 charges after stolen vehicles recovered

A 31-year-old man is facing 44 criminal charges after the Windsor Police Service recovered three stolen vehicles, a fraudulently rented trailer, and multiple pieces of stolen personal identification.

On July 7, 2025, members of the Windsor Police Target Base Unit began an investigation after spotting a pickup truck bearing fraudulent Ontario licence plates. The vehicle matched the description of a truck reported stolen in Essex the previous month.

The investigation led officers to a residence in the 2200 block of Cadillac Street, where the pickup was located and confirmed to be stolen. On the property, officers also found two additional stolen vehicles and a trailer that had been fraudulently rented using stolen identification.

A search of the recovered vehicles uncovered numerous pieces of stolen personal information, including ID cards, cheques, insurance papers, and other documents linked to multiple individuals.

A suspect was located inside one of the stolen vehicles and arrested without incident.
