Suspect wanted following series of counterfeit frauds
The Windsor Police Service has issued an arrest warrant for a suspect wanted in connection with a series of counterfeit-currency frauds at multiple retailers.
Between November 5 and November 20, 2025, the suspect attended four different big-box stores across Windsor and purchased several hundred dollars’ worth of merchandise using counterfeit bills. He then returned the items to receive authentic currency re-purchasing the same goods with additional counterfeit bills.
Through investigation, officers have identified the suspect as 47-year-old Jad Karam. He is wanted for possession of counterfeit currency, uttering counterfeit currency, and fraud under $5,000.
Karam is described as a Middle Eastern male, approximately 5’5” tall, with a slender build, long brown hair, and brown facial hair. Investigators believe he may be in the Greater Toronto Area.
